About This Opportunity
MillerKnoll’s Summer Internship Program is a paid, 12-week opportunity that provides a 100% real-world experience for students early in their careers. Throughout the summer you will apply academic learning to real-world situations and cultivate leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
As an Accounting and External Reporting Intern, you will be able to help with month end close activities and external SEC reporting. You will have the opportunity to assist with multiple areas of the controllership organization throughout their internship, will make it a valuable experience for someone who is not yet sure which area of finance they are interested in.

- Attains on-the-job work experience that is aligned with career objectives.

What You Bring
The needed skills and experience for this role include...
- A solid understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), internal controls and audit methodologies.
- Good critical thinking and problem solving skills.
- Exhibits an ability to work cooperatively both in a team environment and independently.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Able to demonstrate high level of written, verbal and interpersonal skills to communicate information, ideas, procedures and processes in a logical sequence; at a level appropriate to the audience and resulting in effective working relationships.
- Enrolled and pursuing a four-year bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university, and able to provide transcripts on request.
- You must have a GPA of at least 3.0 (overall or within your program) to qualify for consideration in the Intern Program.
- Must have satisfactorily completed basic coursework in the chosen degree program.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position with or without accommodations.
