About this Opportunity MillerKnoll's Summer Internship Program is a paid, 12-week opportunity that provides a 100% real-world experience for students early in their careers. Throughout the summer you will apply academic learning to real-world situations and cultivate leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. As a Supply Management- Direct Material Intern, you will focus on sourcing and supplier relationship management activities. Direct Materials include the components and raw materials for our seating and office workspace products as well as supplier finished goods. These cross over into both workspace and lifestyle product environments. Projects may focus on optimal supply chain design/value stream improvement, supplier negotiations, and cost savings implementation. Interactions will include outside supplier partners, internal manufacturing sites, finance, and product marketing. Participates in cross-functional teamwork to complete Intern Project. Performs additional responsibilities as needed to achieve business objectives. Performs tasks related to the degree program as assigned by the work team leader. What You Bring The needed skills and experience for this role include... Strong proficency in Excel (pivot tables, v-look-up) and PowerPoint presentation Basic knowledge of supplier relationship management (quality, delivery, cost, performance). Knowledge of business analytics/BI/emergence of AI Knowledge of cost and negotiations. Strong communication and public speaking skills Enrolled and pursuing a four-year Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Logistics Management or a related field from an accredited college or university, and able to provide transcripts upon request. You must have a GPA of at least 3.0 (overall or within your program) to qualify for consideration in the Intern Program. Must have satisfactorily completed basic coursework in the chosen degree program. Must be authorized to work in the United States.
