Salary Range: $21.65 - $30.31
Position Summary:
The Production Scheduler’s role is to establish and maintain the site’s master production schedule, driving consistent and systematic production volume to meet customer expectations and company metrics across all products.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
- Maintain an accurate rolling Master Schedule for site manufacturing in our ERP system to prioritize operations based on customer needs and operations efficiencies.
- Maintain and provide valid lead time data to sales and customer service to guard against over-committing company resources.
- Participates in daily production meetings to review any re-prioritization or expedited changes to schedule requirements.
- Work with manager to ensure schedule allows for proper raw material lead-times.
- Work with Production Managers to ensure capacity settings are accurate.
- Work closely with Materials Manager, Customer Service, Sales, and Shipping Department
- Contribute to Continuous Improvement initiatives related to workflow.
- Answer telephone and email inquiries and troubleshoots customer issues.
- Perform other duties as needed or assigned by the manager.
- Do all of the above in a manner that meets the company safety requirements.
Required Qualifications
Qualifications, Skills and Education
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent, related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
- 1+ year of production planning/scheduling work experience.
- Strong attention to detail, efficient, accurate, timely and thorough.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Preferred Qualifications
- MRP system experience a plus
- Customer Service experience a plus
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Work involves sitting, walking, talking, hearing, and using a variety of office equipment.
- Vision abilities require close vision assessments.
- Work involves lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Required to stoop, bend, kneel, and crouch occasionally.
