High Level Statement Of The Role
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for executing preventive maintenance, work requests and performing routine troubleshooting and repair of equipment and facilities.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Provides Level 2 electrical and mechanical maintenance support for plant facilities and equipment.
- Profiecient in PLC trouble shooting and repair.
- Ability to follow a project plan and deliver desired results.
- Responsible for troubleshooting electrical components, CNCs and other automated equipment.
- Responsible for relocation of manufacturing equipment and necessary utilities. Includes working with contractors and internal team members utilizing plant drawings
- Performs proper preventive maintenance as required on any equipment and facilities as assigned.
- Capable of resource planning for projects and daily Maintenance tasks.
- Responsible for researching and quoting required parts or supplies. Verify costing with Facility Team Leader and Facility Manager prior to purchasing.
- Provide assistance in preventive maintenance and keeps the eMaint system current and up to date.
- Manage daily issues without direction of Facility Team Leader.
- Assits in Red Tag and Hot Work processes by creating tags.
- Follows and understands all safety guidelines and uses required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Responsible for actively participating in the maintenance and execution of National Office Furniture Emergency Action Plan.
- Supports and Champions the Safety and 6S programs.
- Supports Continuous Improvement throughout our Facility
- Supports the Vision and Guiding Principles and other policies of Kimball International and National Office Furniture.
- Follows and supports the Quality system.
- Supports our Environmental Management System (EMS)
- Responsible for completing work consistent with local, state and national codes and regulations.
