Job Overview
We are currently looking for an Assembler 2 to join our team in Big Rapids.
Assembles final product for customer shipment. Utilizes various tools to complete job requirements.
Major Responsibilities
- Accesses electronic production systems to determine daily schedule and to verify accuracy of materials for each production order.
- Creates pick lists, picks all needed components. Verifies that parts received match pick tickets. Monitors material flow and updates electronic production system accordingly.
- Inspects incoming components, parts and/or previous station's assembly work, and completed product, to ensure proper fit and function of all components. Corrects, modifies or replaces unacceptable parts.
- Assembles final product according to customer specifications utilizing hand and power tools and overhead crane.
- Performs final visual and quality inspection of product prior to shipment to ensure final product is in accordance with customer specifications.
- Prepares and may package components for next manufacturing process or for shipment to customer.
- Enters order data into electronic production system, creates labels and stages product.
- Investigates & documents production nonconformance issues.

EDUCATION
Work Requirements & Experience
- One year of manufacturing experience helpful.
ENVIRONMENTAL & PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Large machinery and equipment used in work areas. Possibility of cuts, scrapes or bruises.
- Moderate exposure to dust, noise, solvent, heat, paint, and lubricants. May also be exposed to glue, solvent, heat, paint, fiberglass, and denatured alcohol.
- Constant mental and visual alertness required to avoid potential serious injury to self and others in all work groups.
- Eye protection required; hearing protection may be required.
- Moves and may lift materials and/or products weighing up to 50 pounds, occasionally more (assistance given with heavier objects).
- Walks, bends, twists, turns, reaches and lifts while performing functions of position.
- Standing required for extended periods.
- Work requires regular repetitive arm and hand movement.
- May be required to climb stairs and ladders.
Ideally, You Have Also Demonstrated The Following
- Ability to use basic hand, air, cordless, and/or electric tools.
- Ability to utilize appropriate electronic production system and maintenance management system to complete job duties, along with the respective technology tools, e.g. personal computer (PC), tablet, keyboard, mouse, RF gun.
- Ability to read and follow basic blueprints.
- Good color perception.
- Strong manual dexterity.
