The Role
As the
Senior Manager, Global Compliance, Regulatory & Sustainability, you will Manage and lead corporate Regulatory, Sustainability and Product Compliance team in ensuring that Fellowes global products comply with all global regulations and customer requirements. You will act as a visionary representative of the company, defining annual goals within compliance, regulatory and sustainability and lead team in managing milestones and overcoming obstacles on path to meeting these objectives. This visible role will partner closely with cross functional business teams on new product and continuous product development initiatives, ensuring 3rd party certifications (i.e. BIFMA, UL, CE) are achieved prior to launch and do not impact planned commercialization dates. Manage global budget, mentor internal team members and direct contract resources.
In This Role, You will…
- Lead the sustainability team in the growth of the company’s Sustainability program, provide oversight and direction in the execution of the key commitments and track progress towards critical goals.
- Guide the monitoring and investigation of current and new compliance requirements within our markets and clearly communicate to global stakeholders, providing a firm understanding of requirements.
- Assist and work with our project teams and suppliers, conducting and managing the needed agency testing and certification of all products throughout a product’s life cycle.
- Champion the sustainability message and drive process documentation and conformance throughout the organization.
- Manage and maintain the technical agency files to facilitate the distribution to internal requestors while ensuring the accuracy of the data and completeness of the file inventories.
- Develop strong relationships with the agencies and regional groups allowing for an efficient testing process and timeline.
- Gather, maintain, and provide the data needed for global communication as well as key metrics required for reporting our annual performance (Corporate Sustainability Report.)
- Manage all sustainability certifications for all company related industries, compiling and submitting product and data for annual and renewal certifications including Product Indoor Air Quality (IAQ), Carbon Offsetting Program, Healthier Hospital Initiative and BIFMA Level
What You Bring To The Team
- Bachelor's in Engineering, preferably Electrical Engineering
- 8-10 years’ experience working in multi-disciplinary teams (technical, design and manufacturing) on the conception, development and launch of consumer products
- Preferred experience working with global engineering and manufacturing teams.
- Strong working knowledge of regulatory and product compliance in the consumer product and furniture industries.
- Familiar with environmental regulatory programs being posed to governments, corporations and the public.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to effectively work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
