The Director of Healthcare is responsible for developing the strategic direction and leading the go-to-market strategy for selling Global’s Healthcare product offerings. This includes not only expanding Global’s Healthcare market presence in the industry but also some guidance and input on product design using real-time market data and feedback. This position builds Global as a nationally recognized brand within the healthcare space and directs all sales initiatives to help increase our market share in the Healthcare Sector.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Author and implement Global’s Healthcare sales strategy on a national scale
- Work as a player/coach to develop healthcare sales competencies among existing and future sales personnel.
- Build enthusiasm for our products in the Healthcare Sector internally to sales staff and externally to dealers, GPOs, and end users.
- Display and apply strong knowledge of GPO’s, IDN’s, and competitive marketplace including a useful knowledge of competing products, entities, and individuals in the healthcare furnishings sector.
- Understand and relate to end user experiences including healthcare delivery entities, their payor pressures, client expectations, competitive landscape and SWOTs.
- Work with internal teams to help develop new and existing products
- Analyze competition and market trends for the Healthcare Sector to help direct the enlargement of our Healthcare market share
- Provide ongoing training for internal and external customers in order to sustain our growth in the Healthcare Sector
- Collaborate with our Marketing team in developing promotional materials for the Healthcare Sector
Requirements/Education/Experience
You might be just who we’re looking for if you have . . .
- A bachelor's degree in marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. An equivalent level of experience will also be considered.
- 5-7 years of successful contract/capital goods selling and account management with a minimum of three years in healthcare (preferred).
- Proficient knowledge of healthcare products, services, and culture, as well as the ability to distinguish Global Healthcare products and services from the competition.
- Selling skills, including account penetration, strategic selling, conceptual selling, issues-based selling, consultative selling, negotiation, and contracts.
- The ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities with a strong emphasis on listening and healthcare environments vernacular.
