The Maintenance Technician is responsible for executing preventive maintenance and performing routine troubleshooting and repair of equipment and facilities.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Provides Level 1 electrical and mechanical maintenance support for plant facilities and equipment.
- Responsible for completing work consistent with local, state and national codes and regulations.
- Follows all safety guidelines and uses the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Fabricates electrical and mechanical equipment for the plant as required.
- Responsible for relocation of manufacturing equipment and necessary utilities. Includes working with contractors and internal execution of those changes.
- Responsible for completing work orders as assigned.
- Responsible for auditing and signoff of operator PM manuals.
- Expected to be a team player and share responsibilities with other maintenance team members.
- Responsible for requesting the purchase of all supplies or parts required to support the plant operations.
- Performs proper preventive maintenance as required on any equipment and facilities as assigned.
- Documents necessary information as required for preventive maintenance system and other systems or program requirements.
- Responsible for keeping work area and equipment clean and well organized.
- Supports the Vision and Guiding Principles and other policies of Kimball International and National Office Furniture.
- Follows and supports the Quality system.
- Supports our Environmental Management System (EMS).

Qualifications

Educational
- A technical degree or certification in industrial maintenance or equivalent is desirable.
- Able to write legibly and read and comprehend required documents.
- Able to accomplish required math.
- Basic knowledge on use of computers is desirable
