Overview
Empire Office is currently seeking a K-12/Higher Education Sales Representative to join our team in Florida. This is an outside sales role, responsible for growing our education business within the Florida market. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the education sector and a passion for creating engaging and effective learning environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the education sector, building a robust pipeline of leads
- Contact new and prospective clients to identify needs and generate new opportunities
- Work with our design team and installation experts to help clients create cost-effective solutions
- Drive sales by raising our profile with end users, as well as with key influencers such as designers, architects, general contractors, and developers
- Actively engage in business development activities throughout the local education community by attending a variety of events including those targeted at end users, design, construction, and real estate professionals
- Lead showroom tours and act as the go-to presenter, familiar with all sales tools including case studies and project presentations
- Monitor the progress of projects from start to finish, including attending construction meetings to ensure complete client satisfaction
- Maintain client/prospect lists
Qualifications
Skills & Qualifications
- 7+ years of sales experience with a focus on education
- Strong understanding of K-12 and/or higher educational environments and the specific needs of teachers and administrators. Established relationships in the education market are preferred.
- Excellent presentation skills
- Knowledgeable with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work in a team-oriented atmosphere while ensuring the efficiency of projects from start to finish.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
- Must be persistent, responsive, flexible, intelligent, competitive, proactive, confident and detail-oriented.
- Experience selling contract furniture and/or related services preferred.
