Our accounting and finance team is currently seeking
Financial Planning Analyst to support our team. This position is vital to our collaborative accounting initiatives and will play a key role in shaping HOK's financial strategy through date-driven planning, budgeting and forecasting.
The ideal candidate for this position has strong analytical and quantitative skills to analyze financial data, identify trends and make informed recommendations. They will support strategic initiatives by providing financial insight and drive the implementation of automated reporting and standardization through Power BI, collaborating closely with our Financial Reporting Analyst and Accounting Leadership. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to,
- Prepare monthly financial reports comparing forecasted and actual results again planned performance.
- Oversee monthly financial forecasting and develop analytical tools to improve forecasting accuracy.
- Manage the annual planning process and distribute reports to the Regional Business Units and Corporate Overhead departments using Prophix Planning Software.
- Manage stock and treasure reporting.
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations and journal entries.
- Aggregate data for market surveys and the annual insurance renewal process.
- Support strategic initiatives with financial insight and various data models.
- Support all other tasks as directed.
- Take personal responsibility for fostering a green workplace through sustainable work practices.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of the budgeting/forecasting process and associated key performance indicators.
- Organized, self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and accuracy that delivers results.
- Effective verbal and written communication across all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in both remote and on-site environments.
- Advanced Excel and computer skills. Familiarity with Prophix and/or Deltek Vantagepoint is a plus.
- Must have effective communication skills, including good phone etiquette and the ability to communicate with all levels and areas of the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
- Minimum three (3) years of accounting/finance experience.
