GENERAL PURPOSE
Responsible for overall order management flow of customer demand. Daily activity includes reviewing, entering, and editing varying types of customer orders. Works closely with the MillerKnoll Dealer network as well as internal departments to assure the quick release of orders to Scheduling via the order submission/order management process.
Essential Functions
- Process customer orders with accuracy and in a timely manner. This includes both electronic and manual requests.
- Process Government orders and Commercial Direct Orders working closely with internal cross functional teams to ensure all GSA and Direct requirements are met.
- Analyze critical documents required for processing Government and Direct Bill Orders.
- Work closely with dealers and internal teams to resolve errors of multiple types in an efficient way ensuring timely acknowledgement of a customer order.
- Maintain an understanding of the Order Entry Systems and other supporting technology applications to ensure accurate processing of orders and requests.
- Maintain an understanding of products and processes as needed.
- Provide clear communication to dealer and internal teams.
- Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives
Qualifications
Education/Experience
- High School Diploma
- Two years’ experience in a position with exposure to customer service or customer relations
Skills And Abilities
- Proficient with Microsoft office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) as well as other Technology/ERP applications (ie: Oracle, SAP, JDE, Baan LN…)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Possess organizational and time management skills to proactively manage daily work
- Superior problem-solving skills
- Able to embrace a changing work environment with ability to quickly adapt to new software
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment to support a successful dealer experience
