Job Purpose
Responsible for generating 2-D and 3-D drawings (potentially renderings) for various furniture projects and opportunities. Specifiers will collaborate with Furniture Dealers and Sales Representatives, helping to determine criteria required to complete the job and by providing technical support to them.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Generate 2D and 3D drawings for furniture projects of various sizes.
- Responsible for changes and revisions related to projects.
- Specify all product lines along with good understanding of product codes.
- Collaborates with team to recommend design solutions, provide value engineering and overall design.

Qualifications Include
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or six to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Advanced modeling skills in AutoCAD.
- Advanced knowledge of product codes and product application.
- Advanced knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials and specifications.
- Maintain strong knowledge of features and benefits of exiting and new product lines.
- Good understanding of AS400.
- Ability to communicate design ideas and direction quickly.
- Can multi-task, able to handle multiple assignments at one time.
- Proven track record or completing assignments in a timely manner with a proactive and self-starter approach.
- Strong attention to detail. Strategic thinker and problem solver.
- Understanding of corporate, healthcare and education furniture specifications.
- Must work well in a team environment and independently.
- Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
