We are hiring a Material Planner to schedule and coordinates the efficient distribution of products to satisfy customer demand. Analyzes and revises shipment plans as required. Works with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction and accuracy of shipment records. Determines reorder points and ensures that sufficient levels of inventory are maintained. Analyzes actual product demand, trends, and forecasts, and adjusts inventory plans accordingly. Applies and implements lean practices to manage material and scheduling customer orders for least total product cost.
What You Will Be Doing
- Analyzes material requirements for raw and purchased material to complete production orders. Plans the sequenced production and delivery of parts from internal and external suppliers.
- Coordinates and expedites flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between suppliers and/or departments, according to production and shipping schedules or department priorities.
- Assists management in resolving external and internal supply chain related issues. Manages Lean improvement projects within the plant supply chain.
- Compiles and maintains manual or computerized records for tracking production operations. Maintains product coding and material master records. Analyzes and dispositions slow moving inventory. Applies and implements lean practices to managing material and scheduling customer orders for least total product cost. Tracks and implements product changes using PCN, ER, ENC tools. Processes material rejects.
Additionally, employees are expected to abide by all internal control & compliance practices to:
- Safeguard assets from theft and misuse.
- Ensure segregation of duties to minimize fraud.
- Comply with business ethics, applicable laws, and regulations.
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
- Periodically reconcile physical assets to accounting records

Required Skills and Competencies
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or equivalent, willing to pursue training and education.
- Certified through APICS or supply chain management is a plus.
- +3 years of experience in materials management, scheduling coordinator, manufacturing experience or related.
Preferred Skills and Competencies
- High degree of interpersonal skills required.
- Strong oral and written communication skills required with all levels, including plant manager, superintendents, team supervisors, production people, and various support staff.
- Able to integrate new software tools and applications with lean practices to provide a scheduling solution for internal and external customers.
- Can apply and use SAP, and legacy systems tools to provide scheduling and planning solutions for internal and external production operations.
