Your Role
As a Gensler Designer with our team in Miami, your job is to combine creativity and technical knowledge with business skills and understanding to produce functionally beautiful spaces for clients. You will collaborate with your teammates to develop design solutions, as well as coordinate design through the construction documentation and construction administration phases of core and shell and interior architecture projects. You will be successful because you already know how to translate sketches and documents into realized 2D/3D models and images and can research artistic and/or technical issues when they arise. What You Will Do
- Perform interior design assignments that include programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, space planning and construction documentation
- Participate in the selection and presentation of furniture, furniture systems, fabrics, equipment (FF&E), color palettes, and lighting
- Generate floor plans, finish plans, specifications, and material selections needed for construction
- Provide design support and documentation during completion and execution of design concepts
- Assist in Construction Administration, supporting the delivery of the project design intent
- Work on multiple teams and support concurrent projects in varying phases of project delivery
- Work with external consultants, product representatives, furniture dealers, and fabricators
- As a self-motivated junior designer with strong revit skills, you are able to jump in and produce test fits and project deliverables

Your Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field from an accredited university
- 3-5 years of commercial interior design experience
- Proficient with Revit, SketchUp, 3D, Enscape, and other modeling software programs, such as Rhino, Octane, Grasshopper and/or Dynamo
- Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign a must)
- Knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, color selections, and specifications
- Strong knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, color selections, and specifications
- Graphics and visualization skills to effectively communicate design ideas
- Goals to pursue interior design certification or licensure and LEED accreditation are encouraged
- Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and sustainable building practices; Portfolios should include at least one project (especially built projects with LEED, Living Building Challenge, WELL Building Standard, Fitwel, and/or Net Zero Building certification) with this particular focus, which we look forward to discussing during the interview
