Role Summary
As the Jr. Global Sourcing Specialist, you will execute on our comprehensive Strategic Global Sourcing plan, with a strong focus on product sourcing and supplier development.
We work in-office Monday-Thursday, with Friday serving as an optional remote day.
In This Role, You Will…
- Deliver sourcing strategies for multiple products, including the delivery of cost savings through geographic assessment, analysis and for best-fit sourcing deployment
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, QA, Finance, Logistics, Customer Service, Sales and Marketing to ensure corporate product profitability goals and strategies are met
- Achieve ongoing process improvement strategies; streamline sourcing and procurement practices to ensure alignment with organizational business strategies and corporate performance objectives
- Implement product supply decisions, input and assessments within the core New Product Development and stage gate process
- Ensure successful on-time delivery of all New Product Development / Continuous Product Development Roadmap completion goals
- Perform critical supplier development activities to improve productivity, supplier quality and reduce costs in a global OEM and manufacturing business model
- Utilize data to identify and analyze county capability, vendor identification, evaluation, certification and improvement in service, cost reliability and quality
- Complete and maintain our tooling procedure, which includes tracking scorecard and management/disposition of all global tooling assets
- Analyze supplier/product capacity management across the business
What You Bring To The Team
- A minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain management, product development, or as part of a cross functional business team
- Experience managing supplier relationships, which includes the ability to build true partnerships across the supply base
- The ability to maximize return on investment across KPI's
- Excellent cross-functional communication skills - both global and domestic
- A Bachelor's Degree
You May Also Have…
- Experience with procurement as well as supplier identification, assessment, certification and development
- A demonstrated history of delivering year over year cost savings, building partnerships with suppliers globally and productivity improvement through lean practice implantation
- APICS or CPM Certification
