We are currently seeking students to fill our
Human Resource Internship in Muscatine, Iowa! Actually titled “MCR” –
Member and Community Relations – our MCR Interns are part of a strong team of human resource professionals, whose roles encompass many facets of member relations, recruitment and performance development, and strategic organizational team building. We are seeking students interested in Human Resources, who are looking to expand their knowledge this summer and grow their skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Some Of The Essential Aspects Of The Position Include
This summer experience will offer students the opportunity to partner with our Member and Community Relations team and Operations leaders to assist in the process of attracting, engaging, developing and retaining the talent needed to craft and execute strategies that deliver financial results.
Our MCR Internship Experience Will
- Provide students a hands-on work experience within the field of human resources in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Offer students exposure to all areas of the HR field including partnering on talent management (sourcing, attracting, hiring and on boarding), workforce planning, talent development, Member engagement, performance management and policy and procedure administration
- MCR interns will gain exposure not only to our MCR team, but to business partners on our operations teams as well. Students will learn what is means to work on a progressive HR team partnering with operations leaders to drive strategies that impact our businesses success
- MCR interns will experience the day-to-day operations of the MCR function as well as project-based work that will be managed throughout the program and owned by the intern and mentor through to completion.
What It Takes
- Pursuing a four-year degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, Management or related
- Knowledge and experience of MS Office applications and email/internet skills are required
- Strong leadership characteristics and active in college activities
- Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment
- Strong communication skills are required
Additionally, candidates must demonstrate the ability to efficiently and effectively provide administrative services, possess the ability to present information to groups, must be able to work with all levels of Members, multi-task, maintain organization, and possess positive and professional interpersonal skills.
