Position Summary:
Retail Store Managers hire, coach and train a team of sales drivenindividuals. They manage profitability through setting strong operationalguidelines. Retail Managers analyze sales results and key performanceindicators, translating data into action plans. Most importantly, they set thetone for our in-store experience through creativity and leadership.
A Retail Manager with Timbuk2 has a Timbuk2 bag on their back, a healthydose of optimism, a knack for developing a strong sales team and apassion for bringing the Timbuk2 brand to life in their local market.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
- Oversee training and development of staff to in support of a high high-performing that is culturally aligned with Timbuk2
- Actively model and support the Timbuk2 selling cycle with everycustomer
- Performance manage staff including appraisals, disciplining, coaching, motivation, and mentoring
- Action and provide feedback on promotional activities incluincluding windows campaigns
- Scheduling in support of profitability while adhering to state and locallabor laws
- Update and maintain financial records and reports including salesreports, banking and payroll
- The ability to make sound business decisions based on results inorder to ensure sales and profit goals are achieved
- Inventory Management
- Monitor and analyze market trends and customer needs in support ofcustomer acquisition
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Additional project management as required
Qualifications, Skills And Education
Required Qualifications:
- College degree or equivalent experience
- 1+ Year(s) Retail Store Manager or Assistant Store Managerexperience
- The ability to work nights and weekends with a minimum of 3weekends a month.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Team Leadership skills/Develpment skills
- Strong cognitive and mathematical skills, including problem analysis,decision making and financial analysis
- Good communicati on and interpersonal skills
- Is resourceful and versati le in responding to changing demands andopportuniti es in a rapidly changing omni-channel retailenvironment
