What We Need
We are looking for a Group Leader to join our 2nd Shift HNI Workplace Furnishings Operations team.
What You Will Do
- Organize team efforts to deliver KPI’s
- Lead MDI discussion with team and ensure visual management is relevant
- Work with team on daily staffing requirements and manage changes
- Monitor progress to goals and communicate gaps
- Daily 5S and safety walks
- Partner with MCR for issues/concerns
- Partner with internal customers to achieve daily delivery/quality
- 8D investigations to drive root cause for quality concerns
- Complete other standard work as needed
What You’re Good At
- Team & relationship building – motivate and empower members on the team to achieve daily and breakthrough goals
- Concise communication – members in this role must be able to clearly and quickly articulate issues and potential solutions
- Problem solving – use lean tools and problem solving methods to build up members to become skilled problem solvers
- Change agility – Group Leaders must be catalysts for change; members in this role will be looked upon to consistently and constantly react to changing needs, situations, and priorities
- Results driven – successful members in this role display a bias for action and desire to proactively address issues
What You Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Organizational/Business Management, or a related field preferred.
- 1-3 years of direct labor supervision in manufacturing, distribution, retail, or customer service, with lean manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
