GENERAL PURPOSE
This position is responsible for receiving inspection, in-process inspection and final inspection as assigned. These inspections will be performed to determine the conformance of any material in the product manufacturing cycle.
Essential Functions
Document and interpret inspection results, present information as requested.
Evaluate problems and make initial recommendations for possible corrective action to supervisor.
Has responsibility and authority to elevate concern to next level when supervisors do not accept the nonconformance as reported.
Inspect material in the product cycle and determine their conformance to specification.
Maintain all inspection records in timely and accurate manner. Ensure records are complete, accurate and in compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
Perform completions and other transactions in the DEC information system.
Qualifications
Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.

Education/Experience
High School diploma or its equivalent.
Two years experience in a woodworking and upholstery environment.
Skills And Abilities
Have above average color acuity to be able to distinguish acceptable color variations in veneer and paint.
Competent in basic math skills, such as adding and subtracting.
Ability to read, understand, communicate, and interpret written and verbal instructions, work documentation, policies and practices, etc., which are written in the English language.
Ability to work cooperatively within the team as well as with members of other teams to meet goals.
Demonstrated willingness to adapt to a continually changing environment.
Demonstrated commitment to team success through reliable attendance.
Flexibility to work assignments and possible hours as business needs require.
Good verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to effectively use office automation/communication software and tools currently being used in the MillerKnoll office environment.
Must be able to perform all essential functions with or without accommodations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to bend, twist, and stand for periods of up to 10 or 12 hours.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
