Your Role
Gensler Los Angeles is seeking a professional, motivated, and highly collaborative individual to join our team in Los Angeles as a
Communications Coordinator.
The position will champion Gensler’s design excellence collaborating with the public relations and marketing team, office leadership, designers, and clients with a dual focus on awards and photography coordination. The desired candidate is an action-oriented team player with excellent communication, writing, multi-tasking, and organizational skills.
What You Will Do
- Coordinate awards submittals working with leadership, clients, marketing, and PR partners for the LA office. Efforts include:
- Track and update awards program calendar
- Research and disseminate information on awards program details and deadlines
- Collaborate with Design Directors and provide recommendation on awards program and projects to submit
- Liaise with project teams and clients on approvals, assets, and submittals
- Write, review, and edit award program submittals
- Support with creating award program packages as needed
- Maintain budget and report out success to stakeholders
- Coordinate attendance to awards celebration events as needed
- Coordinate project photography with Design Directors, marketing, and PR teams for the LA office. Efforts include:
- Track photography shoots by managing photography calendar
- Organize shoot details, coordinating schedule with clients and Gensler team
- Organize shot list document with internal stakeholders to ensure we capture the project’s story (shoots may include capturing photography and video)
- Participate in local shoots as an on-site coordinator
- Collaborate with project partners on shoot participation, cost sharing, and invoicing
- Liaise with external modeling agencies and talent as needed
- Research photographers and maintain photographer relationships
- Distribute final image assets to internal and external stakeholders
- Identify selected images for PR use and maintaining copyright agreements for external use
- Partner with PR team to support social media curation for Gensler Los Angeles office platforms
Your Qualifications
- Attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
- Ability to manage concurrent projects and deadlines
- Understanding of the importance of storytelling through writing, photography and video
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Commit to meaningful internal collaboration and client service in a fast-paced environment while remaining poised under pressure
- 0-3 years of professional experience in communications, public relations, or marketing
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, English, Business, Architecture, Interior Design or Public Relations
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

- The base salary range will be estimated between $55,000 - $65,000 plus bonuses and benefits and contingent on relevant experience.
