We are seeking a motivated 2025 Manufacturing Engineering Intern - Grand Rapids, MI to assist in the various phases of our product launch process. This role offers a unique opportunity to consult on system processes, influence continuous improvement of the product development system.
What You Will Be Doing
- :Improvement activities on the PD&L process from product exploration phase through product launch
- .Less hands on and more focus on the high-level process for improvement opportunities
- .System Process Improvement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze and optimize system processes, ensuring efficiency and quality
- .Design for Manufacturability: Work closely with product design teams to offer feedback and suggestions that enhance manufacturability and streamline production
- .Process Documentation: Assist in creating and maintaining detailed process documentation, including work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and design specifications
- .Continuous Improvement: Participate in projects focused on continuous improvement, contributing to Steelcase’s commitment to innovation and excellence
