Dawson Design Associates is looking for a talented and qualified mid-level interior designer/architect for our beautiful Kitsap County studio.
If you are looking for a hands-on holistic approach to designing creative, immersive, narrative driven hotel experiences, DDA is the perfect fit for you. We are searching for new talent that has a curious nature with a thirst for learning and would value working in a beautiful rural setting surrounded by nature to join our studio.
The right candidate must have 3-5 years minimum experience in interior design or interior architecture and have a strong desire to learn and/or build upon an existing career in hospitality design. The right candidate will be bright, creative and enthusiastic as well as a great student and willing learner. They will be a hard-working, highly motivated, positive minded individual who works well independently, is analytical in approach and is highly focused. Artistic training and talent is highly desirable.
DDA is a demanding teaching and learning environment with prestigious projects and clients. We offer unlimited possibilities including career advancement and international travel for those individuals who prove themselves to be highly creative and dynamic performers for our team. At DDA every player plays a critical role. We are a highly collaborative international office, and you must be comfortable and skilled at working independently and with limited supervision once trained. You must be willing to work in all aspects of design and do what it takes to make this hybrid studio function on a daily basis, including sorting RFIs, samples management and project organization.

This position is hybrid, 3 days in the office and no exceptions. You will be interfacing directly with the CEO and founding principle on a daily basis and will be expected to be highly professional, organized, practical and responsible as you work in the context of both assistant and interior designer. Maturity, intelligence and creative talent paired with a high level of reasoning and problem-solving skills is required. In return for your effective and supportive participation, you will be provided with personalized mentoring and training in multiple aspects of hospitality, interior design, and architecture.
