POSITION PROFILE:
Must have the ability to read and comprehend furniture drawings, and create detailed cut lists
. Perform the cutting, joinery, assembly and finish sanding of furniture frames, decorative sofa and chair bases, small tables, consoles, and benches.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assembly of products:
- Product completion per Production Schedule
- Meet all critical dimensions and product characteristics.
- Maintain work station clean, organized and safe.
- Use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required.
- Maintain the time sheet accurate and on time.
- Observe all company policies and standard practices.
- Participate on all required continuous improvement activities.
Required Skills
Minimum Qualifications
- 10+ years previous experience of woodworking.
- Reading and understanding drawings, dimensions, views and tolerances.
- Proficient using equipment and hand tools such:
- Bench saw
- Miter saw/Radial saw
- Band saw
- Planer/Jointer
- Electrical tools: Router, screw driver, sander.
- Hand tools.
- Comfortable working in a fast paced team environment while managing multiple projects.
- Strong attention to detail and flawless results.
- Ability to communicate with multiple levels within an organization and be a team member
