Job Overview
We are currently looking for a Production Control Coordinator to join our team in Big Rapids.
As a Production Control Coordinator You Will
Coordinate efforts among supervisors, planners, engineers, shifts, departments, and plants to support manufacturing execution. Ensures plant-wide departments are supplied with necessary raw and in-process materials. Review and release production orders as needed to ensure production efficiencies and schedule completion. Investigate and track shortages; initiates order quantity changes with other department members to meet daily production requirements.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinates production and materials in plant work centers. Establishes production run sequences as required. Advises supervisor of shift schedule requirements, based on workload and department performance, to maximize schedule completion performance.
- Provides support to Manufacturing and Distribution to maximize material and product allocation while supporting supply chain synchronization to achieve highest level of customer satisfaction.
- Initiates and coordinates shortage recovery process for past due or projected late production orders due to manufacturing influences to keep customers and other supply chain stakeholders involved.
- Investigates and tracks shortages; initiates order quantity changes with other department members to meet daily production requirements.
- Communicates inaccuracies of production orders and Bills of Material (BOMs) to Engineering, Resources Planning, and Production Supervision. Facilitates changes to BOMs and supports Enterprise Change Masters (ECMs).
- Performs routine clerical functions, utilizing various systems, to view or complete transactions and ensure system integrity
- Participates in problem-solving, department meetings, and other continuous improvement activities with department personnel. Participates in inter-departmental and cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and goal achievement.
- Performs other duties within scope as assigned.

- Ability to effectively use office automation, communication, software, and tools used in Haworth office environment.
Qualifications
Education:
- High School or equivalent
- Education Equivalency: Certification or vocational training may be preferred
Work Experience
- Minimum of 1 year related experience
