We are currently seeking a Sr Healthcare Consultant to join our team.
- Leading, participating, and completing consulting work in the areas of: operational strategy, operational planning, functional programming, clinical modeling/care analytics, and LEAN analysis and improvement recommendations in the healthcare market.
- Completing and overseeing complex analysis tasks on projects and problem solving on projects (e.g., patient volume projections, observation surveys, functional relationship analysis, highest and best use studies, supply and demand, utilization analysis, efficiency ratios, cross over analysis, stacking & blocking, organizational analysis, space type analysis, density analysis, space inventory, capacity models, strategic master planning and facility benchmarks).
- Leading and conducting planning meetings and presentations with existing and potential clients.
- Managing and organizing operational and service analysis for clinical changes and improvements.
- Leading and developing healthcare LEAN operations portfolio of tools into a full-service line.
- Creating associated space and functional plans based on the capacity requirements to provide a framework for future operations and space needs.
- Translating volume projections into capacity requirements based on best practice operating models.
- Organizing and analyzing demographic, market and competitor trend data, and client operating data from a variety of sources.
- Developing integrated quantitative models that support demand/volume projections for inpatient, outpatient, ambulatory, and diagnostic and treatment areas from an operational perspective.
- Creating a corresponding capital cost analysis based on the operational capacity requirements.
- Facilitating and overseeing facility functional and operational assessment work utilized to inform a strategic master plan.
- Manages multiple concurrent projects effectively (dependent on the size and scope of the client).
- Produces client-ready deliverables with succinct, well-supported conclusions and recommendations.
- Managing and directing the work and development of analysts and healthcare consultants. Ensuring all work is client-centric, innovative, timely and of the highest quality.
- Mentoring and developing colleagues and junior staff.
- Assisting with practice management operational tasks (e.g., team coordination, hiring, etc.).
- Contributing to firm-wide and team thought leadership activity.
- Fostering strong client relationships with existing and potential clients.
- Leading and supporting business development and marketing efforts through creation of content including preparation of proposals, project approach and definition of deliverables, preparing leave behind and qualification packages, sales presentations, website, publication content, conference and seminar content, project sheet creation, and other project and healthcare consulting practice materials.
- Assisting with the business development process including attending and presenting at interviews and industry professional events.
- Actively engaged in growing and nurturing a business development network.
- Showing a commitment to developing marketing and sales skills.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of healthcare industry and terminology.
- Knowledge and ability to use analytical and problem-solving techniques.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong Microsoft Excel, Access, Tableau, Power BI, and PowerPoint expertise.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required, including meeting facilitation skills
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to lead teams and work effectively with others, across geographical locations, to achieve results in tight time frames
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- 10 years of experience in healthcare administration, healthcare consulting, finance, or related field.
- Consulting experience strongly preferred.
- Participates in continued industry education programs.
