We are hiring a Workplace Consultant of Real Estate Alliances to build relationships with commercial real estate influencers to create brand awareness and showcase Steelcase’s unique value proposition to drive business opportunities to Steelcase in the Los Angeles market.
What You Will Be Doing:
You will be working with your national Real Estate Alliances team to drive Steelcase business initiatives. You will work with the Steelcase dealer network in your region to develop strategies for improving dealer relationships and network with real estate.
Your Future Team:
You will be joining a national team of high-performance consultants whose mission is to develop strong and sustainable relationships with the commercial real estate community, with the goal of being viewed by the commercial real estate industry as a market leader, partner and influencer in the workplace and ultimately create business for Steelcase.
Who You Are:
You are a results-oriented business development consultant focused on creating new business opportunities within the Commercial Real Estate community. You are skilled at creating and executing a local strategy for identifying and aligning with commercial real estate partners and supporting dealers in real estate related pursuits. You have an entrepreneurial sense and are creative in meeting your goals and objectives. You have the ability drive results individually and within a team and thrive in a highly collaborative, cross-functional, and team-oriented environment.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Proven sales experience in new business development, identifying and creating own opportunities.
- High comfort level with making own introductions to new relationships.
- Self-motivated, self-directed and willing to accept responsibility for results.
- Demonstrates a deep understanding of current customer/workplace issues and trends across multiple industries and can leverage these insights as a knowledge resource to the Real Estate community.
- Proven success in meeting/exceeding revenue and/or opportunity identification targets.
- Collaborates effectively with internal resources to ensure best client experience.
- Applying consultative selling skills to develop attractive value propositions for complex opportunities.
- Expert interpersonal skills with coaching and mentoring capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of the processes/key concerns common to all businesses.
- Sets high goals and standards for self and others in the organization.
- Committed to excellence: accuracy in work and attention to detail.
- Must have a broad exposure and understanding of corporate strategies.
- Extensive managerial skills for coordination of large projects using a multi-disciplined team approach.
Preferred Skills and Competencies
- A Bachelor’s Degree (minimum) in Business or related field
- Background in Sales and/or Business Development with a focus on Workplace
- Professional experience within or interfacing with the real estate service provider community with knowledge of real estate brokerage
- Contract furniture experience preferred, but not required

In compliance with California’s Pay Transparency Act (SB 1162), the annual base salary range for this position is 97,900.00 - 125,500.00 - 156,900.00. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
