Responsibilities:
- Engage in all aspects of the design process on a variety of project types
- Prepare visually compelling presentations for client meetings and interviews
- Lead design meetings with clients to identify client goals and objectives, and gain feedback as necessary to move the project forward
- Prepare presentation drawings and models for developing all interior design scopes of work
- Research and source interior materials and products that align with project concept. Coordinate the specification of interior materials.
- Produce drawings and documentation to communicate design intent, including floor plans, ceiling plans, finish plans, interior elevations, details, and schedules
- Selection and specification of furniture
- Set and manage timelines for completion of work.
- Review construction phase shop drawings and submittals
- Respond promptly to questions throughout construction and conduct project walk-throughs to ensure design intent is met
- Work cooperatively and collaboratively with team members, clients, vendors, and contractors
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of interior design work experience preferred
- Experience with furniture selection and furniture specification is required. Procurement assistance experience is preferred
- Experience working on projects for public agencies preferred
- Creative portfolio of imaginative and artistic design work
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Prior architectural office experience preferred
- Familiarity with interior design related sections of the International Building Code (IBC 2015 or later)
- NCIDQ certification preferred but not required
- Proficiency with Revit is required
- Proficiency with Adobe InDesign, Bluebeam, SketchUp, AutoCAD, and 3D rendering preferred
