High Level Statement Of The Role
The Showroom Experience Manager manages all aspects of the showroom to ensure smooth functioning. The Showroom Experience Manager promotes the use of the facility as a showroom and reference for Architects and Designers, End Users, Dealer Partners, Regional Sales Teams, and all internal and external stakeholders. The Showroom Experience Manager has the primary responsibility for managing the showroom operations, overall visitor experience, and enabling the sales of our products. This responsibility includes effective supervision of showroom activities, supporting our sales reps through sales enablement, adherence to company policies and procedures, and financial objectives, leveraging a broad range of independent discretion and decision making within the showroom. Our Showroom Experience Manager helps strategically describe and educate about our multi-branded products and processes and hosts our customers to create strong and lasting relationships.
This position requires multi-tasking, organizational skills, analytical skills, managing skills, and accountability. It requires strategic thinking, decision making and problem solving, sales skills, design and technical background for specification work, and financial expertise to manage vendors and invoices.
Roles And Responsibilities
Customer Experience Enhancement:
- Develop strategies to enhance the overall customer experience within the showroom.
- Implement initiatives to ensure a positive and memorable customer journey.
- Responsible for creating, proposing, and executing an event strategy while partnering with local field sales and A&D teams to host these events.
- Work with internal and external parties to organize the various components needed to create, initiate, run, and conclude showroom events.
- Create and distribute invitations in line with brand standards.
- Support internal team with invitation creation and distribution.
- Attend / host events in the showroom, including after hours events
Showroom Operations Management
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the showroom, ensuring smooth functioning.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure availability of products and services.
- Maintain inventory levels and oversee visual merchandising to showcase products effectively.
- Communicate with internal and external service providers to maintain showroom and office efficiencies.
- Manage payment/routing of invoices for various showroom functions.
- Monitor and manage the cleanliness and maintenance of the showroom.
- Implement operational processes and guidelines to streamline workflows.
Teamwork
- Provide support, guidance, and motivation to the team to achieve sales targets / activation goals.
- Foster a positive work environment and encourage teamwork among showroom staff.
Showroom Utilization/Sales And Revenue Generation
- Elevate the brand at every customer interaction and being the communication link between Kimball International customers and company personnel.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop sales strategies and promotional campaigns.
- Monitor and share progress toward achieving Showroom activation goals.
- Proactively own and drive initiatives to increase showroom utilization (meetings, events, outreach)
- Build relationships with key clients and partners to build brand loyalty and generate business leads.
- Partner with Brand and local teams to prioritize NPI in tours and events.
- Work closely with internal leadership to expand knowledge and insight within our Health and Education strategy to drive vertical market success.
- Work closely with Kimball International Marketing on design and product decisions for the showroom as well as implement product change outs by hiring local installers. During product changes, the Showroom Experience Manager also partners with their RSD and regional team to sell off existing furniture to other tenants in the building, dealers, designers, or other interested parties.
Showroom Marketing And Branding
- Maintain showroom’s visual presentation in accordance with direction set by the Kimball International Marketing team’s showroom strategy and direction while providing input from marketplace.
- Work closely with the marketing team to implement showroom-specific marketing plans.
- Ensure showroom branding and messaging align with the overall brand image.
- Coordinate showroom events, product launches, and customer engagement activities.
- Responsible for networking and communicating throughout the territory and local community to acquire showroom exposure & create brand awareness.
- Leverage digital marketing platforms and social media to promote the showroom.
- Monitor the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and make necessary adjustments.
Reporting And Analysis
- Enter analytics to SF.com with 100% accuracy on a weekly basis.
- Present observations, metrics, and recommendations to senior management.
- Monitor and manage the showroom budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics.
