If selected to be in the Equipment Maintenance Prep Program as a Temporary Equipment Maintenance Helper, you will shadow and perform duties on the Equipment Maintenance Team for a period of 3 months. Upon completion of the program, the selected individual will receive a $250 bonus along with a certificate. Additionally, this individual may have future opportunities available for them on the Equipment Maintenance team.

Job Description
Assist in performing routine duties of preventative maintenance. Troubleshoot and repair plant production equipment as directed. Assist other maintenance personnel and perform general housekeeping of the maintenance shop and job sites.
Responsibilities
- Participation in the maintenance apprentice program is a 3 month assignment
- Promote and maintain a safe and clean work environment through theenforcement of housekeeping safety policies.
- Perform general housekeeping.
- Provide suggestions and feedback on improving departmental processes, performance goals, and environment.
- Assist in maintaining and making minor repairs to plant production equipment involving the replacement of worn, broken or defective parts as directed by a Senior Member of the Team.
- Perform duties such as assembling and/orrepair of production equipment.
- Assist on machine set-ups for production, as necessary.
- Perform PM's on all types of equipment.
- Check and follow-up on all repairs and/or adjustments.
- Monitor performance of plant equipment and minimize unscheduled maintenance downtime.
- Account for tasks, activities and parts usage utilizing eMaint.
- Perform routine safety checks of production equipment.
- Report any unsafe or out of compliance issues as well as major equipment problems and lockout/tagout situations to Maintenance Supervisor or Production Facilitator.
- Operate basic hand and power tools.
- Pump Ward and Flexo pits.
- Other related and similar duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
- Must have worked in current position six months or longer.
- Successfully pass mechanical aptitude exams.
- Successfully complete and pass required lift truck operation tests and training and obtain and maintain appropriate lift truck licensing.
- Able to pay close attention to detail and follow instructions/procedures to meet quality standards.
- Able to perform repetitive tasks (including physical requirements as described below) on a consistent basis.
- Maintain consistent and acceptable attendance.
- Available to work overtime as needed, including weekend work.
- Available for mandatory overtime as appropriate based on business demands.
- Able to fulfill all essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.
- Abide by all safety policies, procedures, rules, and guidelines in order prevent and reduce exposure to accidents and injuries.
- Able to work in a team environment and facilitating job duties for other team members.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude.
- Able to work in a machine paced, team environment, requiring a customer orientation.
- Possess sufficient keyboard and PC literacy to accurately complete work orders in MP2.
- Have prior mechanical and manufacturing experience.
Physical Requirements
Perform repetitive tasks as required.
Perform pre-shift stretching (includes: bending, reaching and stretching with hands, arm, legs and feet and bending and twisting waist) as required for position.
