Role Summary
As the
Investment Analyst, you will support our EVP of Investments & Development. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with executive leadership, contributing to superior investment analysis and portfolio management, corporate growth initiatives, and strategic M&A.
We work in-office Monday-Thursday, with Friday serving as an optional remote day.
In This Role, You Will Focus On…
Investment Analysis & Research
- Assist in the management of the company's investment portfolio, including equities, fixed income, real estate, and alternative investments.
- Conduct thorough research and due diligence on potential investment opportunities, providing detailed reports and recommendations to the EVP.
- Monitor market developments, emerging trends, and economic conditions to identify risks and opportunities for the company’s investment portfolios
Support for Strategic Initiatives
- Support the EVP in the evaluation of new markets, growth initiatives, and strategic partnerships
- Contribute to the preparation of materials for mergers and acquisitions, including industry analysis, target identification, financial modeling, and integration planning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to monitor post-acquisition integration progress
Reporting & Communication
- Provide insights and prepare reports regarding investment performance, portfolio alignment with stated policies, and risk management
- Assist in the development of presentations for the executive team and board of directors regarding corporate development (M&A) and portfolio analysis
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of research, decisions, and outcomes related to investment activities.
Administrative & Operational Support
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the EVP, including scheduling, meeting preparation, and document management.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate communication and optimize opportunities.
- Maintain organized records and files for ongoing investment and strategic projects.
What You Bring To The Team
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and market trends.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present information clearly and effectively.
- Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a self-directed fashion.
- Curiosity about and basic understanding of how economic trends, political situations, policies and regulations may affect investments
- A proactive, “can-do” attitude and an eagerness to learn about corporate strategy, investments, business value creation, and business development.
The hiring range for this position in Itasca is $65,000 - $85,0000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and may also vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors. An annual incentive may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
