About The Role
As a Design Intern, you will work closely with our design team to bring creative visions to life. You’ll play a key role in concept development, material selection, and creating impactful presentations. This position is ideal for someone passionate about interior design and eager to gain practical experience in a collaborative, fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with concept development, material selection, and color palettes
- Support the design team in producing design presentations, renderings, and space planning
- Aid in creating mood boards, sample boards, and sourcing FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment)
- Participate in project meetings, take notes, and contribute to brainstorming sessions
- Conduct research on design trends, materials, and local culture to inspire projects
- Collaborate on drafting design concepts, construction documents, and specifications
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited Interior Design program
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD or Revit
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills and confidence in sharing ideas
- A creative mindset paired with a practical, solution-oriented approach to design
Additional Details
Schedule: Flexible, requiring a minimum of 8 hours per week and a maximum of 24 hours per week, during standard work hours.
Location: This position is in-office only at our Annapolis, MD headquarters. Remote work is not available.
Compensation: $20/hour.
Growth Opportunity: This role has the potential to transition into a full-time position for the right candidate.
