EDGEiD is a full-service Interior Design Firm that has recently moved into a newly renovated office in Salt Lake City, UT. We are currently looking for an experienced Interior Designer, Senior Interior Designers, or Assistant Interior Designer. Please apply if you are interested in any of these positions.
Description for Senior Interior Designer:
A Senior Interior Designer will be responsible for overseeing all project deliverables as well as maintaining the project schedule. This person will manage the technical aspects of a project and should be well trained in space planning, finish selection, product + furniture specification, and budgeting. They will be responsible for the project outcome and will orchestrate everything from concept development to execution. They will be hands on and interface directly with the client, architect, general contractors, hotel brands and design team members.
Responsibilities
Design management:
· Outline client design objectives by establishing a design brief/narrative and develop concepts to that brief.
· Conceptualize and sketch design plans.
· Work within budgets and project requirements and participate in budgeting phase of design.
· Source materials and products included in the design that remain in budget and that are applicable to the design objectives.
· Create concept and design boards to convey your design.
· Inspect design after completion to determine whether the brief/narrative has been met.
· Maintain strong relationships with outside consultants during all phases of design.
· Utilize computer applications in the design process.
· Develop the design in all the phases beginning with SD, then DD, then CD and into CA.
· Develop detailed designs that can be translated and built.
· Request pricing and samples for projects.
· Prepare accurate specifications for procurement during the RFQ process.
· Ensure that all pricing verifications have taken place prior to ordering.
· Collaborate with the team on designs of projects in the office as well as projects of your own.
· Work with consultants during the design process.
· Present design concepts to team during the design process.
· Present design concepts to the brand and client.
· Create design specifications and work with other departments for pricing, safety, and delivery assurance.
Project management:
· Communicate directly with clients on project.
· Ability to deliver and manage a seamless completion of project in timely manner.
· Ensure all deliverables during all phases of design are completed on time.
· Manage project timelines throughout all phases of design.
· Delegate design related tasks to assistant staff members.
· Provide clear and concise communication to design team to achieve the project objectives.
· Maintain strong relationships with outside consultants during all phases of design.
· Coordinate project installation during final phases of design.
· Maintain systems necessary for composing documentation and correspondence necessary for the project.
· Travel for job site visits, company retreats, training (locally and nationally)

Qualifications
· 4 Year bachelor’s degree in interior design or a minimum of 5 years industry experience.
· Proven ability to self-manage and demonstrate high-level of professional maturity.
· Proficiency in REVIT, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, Microsoft Suite, REVU, and other design related programs.
· Take on a deep sense of partnership and ownership of projects you oversee.
· Ability to work under pressure, juggle and prioritize multiple projects and adjust deadlines as needed.
· Possess strong verbal, written, and visual communication skills with all levels of employees, management, and outside parties.
· Strong abilities to work in a team setting and achieve results through collaboration and sharing.
Description for Interior Designer:
Their duties include developing design concepts for specific project scopes. Ensuring that all necessary steps during the design process are completed to deliver a final product to the client. Using the support of other designers and assistant designers on the team. They will be hands on and interface directly with the client, architect, general contractors, hotel brands and design team members.

· Present/submit to design team, clients and brand as needed at each design phase.
· Manage all REVIT/Drawing file setup, coordination and drawing implementation to create a full ID plan set.
· Outline client design objectives by establishing a design brief/narrative and develop concepts to that brief.

· Create concept and design boards to convey vision
· Work within budgets and project requirements and participate in budgeting phase of design.
· Source materials and products included in the design that remain in budget and that are applicable to the design objectives.

· Coordinate renderings to emphasize design aesthetic.
· Develop detailed designs that can be translated and built.
· Oversee shop drawings, carpet seaming diagrams, CFAs etc. as needed.
· Inspect design after completion to determine whether the brief/narrative has been met.
· Schedule plan checks, spec checks and PO checks to ensure accuracy at every phase of design.
· Ensure that all pricing verifications have taken place prior to ordering.
· Create quantity matrix and take-offs for GC’s, Brands and Procurement.
· Respond to RFI’s from GC and subs to maintain design direction.
· Participate in onsite visits including, field measures, 4-Way site inspections, model room reviews, final punch, sourcing, and accessorizing.
Project management:
· Provide clear and concise communication to design team to achieve the project objectives.

Description for Assistant Interior Designer:
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with all aspects of the design process, including selecting and specifying FF&E, materials, and finishes
- Assist in management and coordination of drawings files and plan sets as needed
- Help create finish schedules and product specifications
- Support designers in creation and maintenance of design boards and presentation materials as needed, including concept boards, drawings, elevations, samples, and finishes
- Assist in preparation of client presentations and in taking meeting minutes.
- Follow up with vendors on lead-times and quotes
- Assist as needed on budgetary tasks including RFQ’s and sample requests
- Research new products and materials as they relate to specific projects
- Manage multiple project-related tasks simultaneously
- Manage delegated duties from design team with efficient time management and by prioritizing assigned tasks and responsibilities
- Assist in organization and management of sample library
- Attend and assist design team with site measures, project installations and photo shoots
Qualifications/Skills:
- Degree in Interior Design, design school or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in REVIT, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, Microsoft Suite, REVU, and other design-related programs.
- Ability to work under pressure, juggle and prioritize multiple projects and adjust deadlines as needed.
