Your Role
Gensler’s DC Brand Design studio is searching for a technical draftsperson who is proficient in Revit to work on our signage team. You could come from the any associated drafting backgrounds, including: Industrial Design, Product Design, Engineering, Architecture, Planning, or Interior Design and be a great fit for this role. The key is that you understand how to read architectural plans, can demonstrate Revit proficiency, and are detail oriented. We will teach you the rest—including all of the specifics of creating architectural signage documents. Prior signage specific experience is not required.
What You Will Do
- Create Signage Location Plans, Message Schedules and Design Intent Documentation for projects of various sizes
- Work closely with clients, designers, architects, general contractors and fabricators
- Coordinate the development of documentation for construction and installation for signage systems
- Travel occasionally to client sites to perform signage surveys, oversee installs, and conduct punch lists.
Your Qualifications
- Revit proficiency
- 2 year degree in drafting from an accredited trade school
- 4 year architecture/design degree a plus
- Detail oriented
- 0-3 years of experience working in industrial/product/signage detailing and production industry
- Thorough, thoughtful, precise and able to work independently and think strategically
- Strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Strong work ethic with a positive spirit
- Understanding of Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat), MS Office, and/or CAD

- The estimated base salary range for this position is $67-73k, plus eligibility for bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package, with final compensation contingent on relevant experience.
