Job Overview
We are currently looking for a Team Leader - 2nd Shift to join our team in Holland, MI at our steel plant. The schedule is 2:45pm-10:45pm, Monday-Friday.
As a Team Lead You Will
Leads team to attain goals in Safety, Quality, Schedule, Cost, Culture, and Environment by providing effective coaching and training to distribution/production team members. Organizes and performs full range of complex duties in fast-paced environment that requires thorough understanding of functions within work cell, as well as policies and procedures. Works with supervisor and other team leaders to manage and prioritize staffing assignments to ensure customer demand and production schedule are met.
Essential Functions
- Prepares production floor for daily production; monitors and adjusts production based on inventory and planned machine downtime, ensuring work center is sufficiently staffed to meet production demands.
- Monitors and predicts flow to ensure work center is able to respond efficiently to production changes.
- Observes, maintains, coordinates, and completes standard work to improve work processes and ensures members are trained to perform standard work.
- Monitors and predicts flow to ensure work center is able to respond efficiently to production changes.
- Updates production metrics and facilitates regular team communications; maintains Team Boards.
- Works with supervisor to develop annual plans for goal attainment and facilitate cascading of goals and objectives to production team members.
- Motivates members to enhance production quality and, at same time, maintain production requirements.
- Performs other duties within scope as assigned.

- Ability to effectively use office automation, communication, software, and tools used in Haworth office environment.

Required Qualifications
- Highschool Diploma or equivalent.
- Three years experience working in a team-based manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work comfortably when exposed to noise, dust, fumes, dirt, solvent, glue, grease, oil, paint, heat, and/or vibrations
- Ability to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in SAP
- Bilingual
