We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Interior Designer to join our team at OFS, a leading provider of innovative contract furniture solutions and high-end hospitality furniture. In this role, you will focus on designing captivating showrooms and engaging trade show spaces that showcase our products and brand identity. You will work closely with design, marketing, project, and product teams to create environments that inspire customers and drive business growth. This role requires a strong understanding of space planning, furniture systems, and current workplace and hospitality trends.
Roles + Responsibilities:
Showroom Design
- Conceptualize and design workplace and hospitality showrooms within various building types, ensuring spaces reflect the brand, highlight product features, and create an immersive customer experience.
- Develop layout plans, furniture configurations, and visual merchandising strategies that optimize space, functionality, and aesthetics.
Trade Show Booth Design
- Design and execute trade show spaces and industry events that effectively communicate brand messaging, attract visitors, and showcase product offerings.
- Coordinate with vendors and exhibit builders to ensure seamless design implementation.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with the creative team, design specification, marketing, and product development teams to align showroom and trade show designs with overall business strategies and to understand target audiences, product highlights, brand and marketing goals.
Styling Interiors and Photoshoots
- Prepare styling plans, set designs, and source items for interiors and photoshoots
Furniture & Material Specification
- Select and specify furniture, finishes, lighting, and materials to enhance showroom and trade show designs, ensuring consistency with the brand’s visual identity.
Visual Presentations
- Create mood boards and presentation materials to communicate design concepts to stakeholders.
Project Management
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously alongside the creative team, overseeing timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful execution.
Trend Analysis
- Stay up-to-date with interior design and visual merchandising trends, particularly in showroom and trade show environments, to continuously innovate designs.
On-Site Coordination
- Conduct site visits for space measurements, installations, and quality checks.
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of and installation of furniture and fixtures.
Flexibility to Travel
- Provide support during showroom and trade show installations including setup and tear down as needed.
- Travel to showrooms, events, and vendor showrooms as required.
Skills
- Creative thinking with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing projects and keeping organized
- Applicants need to be able to work individually and as part of the creative team
- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for aesthetics and functionality
- Knowledge of brand storytelling and customer engagement strategies
- Familiarity with trade show logistics, including shipping, installation, and dismantling processes
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate design concepts to clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders
Equipment & Programs
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Knowledge of the CET software solution for space planning and configuration
- Candidate is required to work within Asana for project management and effective collaboration to maintain project workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in interior design
- A portfolio showcasing a refined design sensibility and creative expertise
- Certification from NCIDQ, LEED, or similar organizations is desirable
